What Pingdom meters instead is checks and SMS alerts, so the bill tracks your infrastructure and your alert volume rather than your headcount.
Only if front-end speed is a problem you are actively working on. They answer different questions: uptime monitoring tells you the site is reachable, real user monitoring tells you how fast it felt for actual visitors. A site can pass every availability check while being too slow to use, and it can score well on speed while an expired certificate makes it unreachable.
