Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Uptimehub ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or use our uptime and status monitoring service. We aim to be plain and honest about what we do with data.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and a verification code we send to confirm it. If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message. We also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page that referred you, along with any UTM parameters in the link you arrived from.
What we monitor for you
Uptimehub runs read-only external checks against the public URLs, APIs, and endpoints you add to a monitor. From our own probe infrastructure across six regions, we send the same kind of request a browser or API client would and record the outcome: whether the check was up or down, the status code, response time, region, SSL certificate expiry, and the timestamp. We store only these check results and timings so we can alert you, show your history, and power your status page. We never install an agent on your servers, never ask for a login or credentials to your systems, and never read, copy, or store the contents of your application or user data. We cannot change anything on your infrastructure.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and confirm your email.
- To run your checks and send you alerts by Slack, email, SMS, or webhook, and to publish your status page.
- To respond to your messages and provide support.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the service (for example, email and SMS delivery and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect it, or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep account and contact information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. Check results and timings are retained according to your plan so we can show your uptime history. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. We run read-only external checks only, store only check results and timings, and never touch your servers or hold credentials to your systems. You can pause or delete any monitor at any time. Enterprise plans add SSO, audit logging, and additional controls.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your information, and you can opt out of non-essential email at any time. To make a request, email [email protected].
