Cronitor charges $2 a month per monitor plus $5 a month per dashboard user on its Business plan, with no base fee and no minimum, so a team running 20 monitors with 3 logins pays $55 a month. The free Hacker plan covers 5 monitors at 5 minute checks with a single login. Enterprise starts at $6,000 a year on invoice. The line most buyers miss is the status page: Business includes exactly one, the same as the free plan, and putting your own brand on it costs $25 a month per page, which is what 12 and a half monitors cost.
Cronitor is one of the few monitoring vendors that publishes a genuinely simple price. Two meters, both visible, both linear. That is rare enough in this market that it deserves saying up front, because most of this article is about the places where the simple number is not the whole bill.

How much does Cronitor cost?
Three plans. One of them is free, one is metered, and one has a floor.

A monitor in Cronitor's vocabulary covers all three of its check types: jobs, checks and heartbeats. That is worth knowing because it means a cron job with a dead man switch and an HTTP uptime check on the same service are two monitors, not one, and both bill at $2.
Business has a 14 day free trial and then bills monthly on actual usage, with no contract and no base fee. If you run three monitors and one login, you pay $11 a month. Very few vendors in this market will let you spend that little without pushing you onto a free tier with a 5 minute interval, and it is the most attractive thing about this price list.
What a real Cronitor bill looks like
Cronitor works one example on its own page: 20 monitors at $2 plus 3 users at $5 comes to $55 a month. Extending that arithmetic to larger teams is straightforward, since neither meter has a published volume break. The page mentions volume based discounts on Business but does not say where they start or what they are worth, so the figures below are list price.

Read the last three rows together and you can see the whole shape of the pricing. The monitors are cheap. The things around the monitors are where the bill grows.
The status page is the line item to check first
Cronitor gives every plan a status page, including the free one. What changes on Business is the subscriber allowance, from 50 to 500. What does not change is the count: Business includes exactly one status page, the same number as the free plan. Unlimited pages arrive only at Enterprise.
Branding that page is a separate charge of $25 a month per page, and a private page is $50 a month per page. Convert those into the currency the rest of the price list uses and the ratio is stark:

If you run an agency or a multi-brand platform and you need a customer-facing status page per client, this is the number that decides the vendor, not the $2. Ten branded pages is $250 a month before you have monitored anything. That is the point at which bundling the status page into the monitoring plan stops being a nice-to-have and starts being the deciding factor, which is why we include a branded status page in every Uptimehub plan rather than metering it.
The SSO surcharge doubles your seat price
SAML single sign-on on Business is listed at plus $5 a month per user. The seat itself is $5 a month per user. So enabling SSO does not add a percentage to your bill, it doubles the per-person cost of the platform, from $5 to $10 a head.
For a five person team that is $25 a month, which nobody will notice. For a fifty person organization where support and operations staff need read-only dashboard access, it is $250 a month for the login mechanism alone, on top of $250 for the seats. Charging extra for SSO is common enough in SaaS to have its own nickname, and it is worth pricing explicitly before you commit, because SSO is usually a security requirement rather than a preference. On the credit side, Cronitor puts SCIM provisioning and role based access on Business rather than reserving them for Enterprise, which several competitors do not.
Where the Enterprise floor actually sits
Enterprise starts at $6,000 a year, which is $500 a month, billed on an annual invoice. Priced at Business list rates, $500 a month buys 250 monitors with no users, or 200 monitors and 20 logins, or 100 monitors and 60 logins.
That is a high floor, and it means the honest question for most teams is not "when should we move to Enterprise" but "will we ever". Unless you need unlimited status pages, invoice billing or a procurement process that refuses a credit card, Business scales linearly a long way past the point where other vendors would have forced you into a sales call. Cronitor deserves credit for that. Many monitoring price lists stop publishing numbers somewhere around 300 monitors.

The pattern is the seat charge. Cronitor's monitors are inexpensive and its people are not, so the crossover point depends almost entirely on how many humans need a login. If your monitoring is genuinely one engineer's job, Cronitor is competitive at small scale and free at very small scale. If your support desk, your account managers and your on-call rota all need to see the dashboard, the per-seat line grows faster than the monitoring does. Is Cronitor free?
Yes, permanently. The Hacker plan costs nothing and covers 5 monitors with email, Slack, Discord, Teams and webhook alerts, one status page with 50 subscribers and a single dashboard login. The two real limits are the 5 minute check interval, against 30 seconds on paid plans, and the absence of SMS and on-call integrations such as PagerDuty and OpsGenie.
Does Cronitor charge per user?
Yes. Business bills $5 a month for every dashboard user, including the first, which is why Cronitor's own worked example of 20 monitors and 3 users comes to $55 rather than $40. The free plan allows one login only. SAML single sign-on adds a further $5 a month per user, taking the effective seat cost to $10 a head.
How much is a Cronitor status page?
The status page itself is included, one per account, on every plan. Removing Cronitor's branding costs $25 a month per page and making a page private costs $50 a month per page. Only Enterprise, from $6,000 a year, includes unlimited status pages and unlimited subscribers. For teams that need one branded page per client, that add-on will dominate the bill.
How much does Cronitor cost for 100 monitors?
At list price, 100 monitors is $200 a month on the Business plan, plus $5 a month for each person who needs a login. A ten person team therefore pays $250 a month, or $3,000 a year, rising to $300 a month with SAML SSO enabled. Cronitor mentions volume based discounts on Business but does not publish where they begin.
What is a good Cronitor alternative?
It depends which half you use. If you bought Cronitor for cron job and heartbeat monitoring with its language SDKs, the closest alternatives are other dedicated job monitoring tools, and a general uptime monitor will feel thin. If in practice you run HTTP uptime checks and a status page and the seat charges are what pushed you to look, a flat per-monitor plan with unlimited logins does that job for less. Is Cronitor cheaper than Uptrends?
For plain availability monitoring, yes, by a wide margin. The short version
Cronitor's headline price is honest and unusually easy to reason about, and the free tier is real. Budget it in three parts rather than one: monitors at $2, people at $5 or $10, and status pages at $25 or $50 each. For a small engineering team with few logins and no need for customer-facing status pages, it is one of the better deals in this category. For a larger organization where a lot of people need dashboard access, or an agency that needs a branded page per client, the two secondary meters will set the bill long before the monitor count does.
